Nea (dtsch.: neu) Epidauros ist
ein ebenso geschichtsträchtiges wie
malerisches Dorf nordöstlich von Nau-
plia. Es befindet sich in einer felsigen
Landschaft in etwa 100 Metern Höhe
an den Abhängen des Berges Akros, der
im Golf von Epidauros liegt. Bis 1928
wurde es Piada genannt. Die etwa 1300
Einwohner sind in der Landwirtschaft, in
Viehzucht und Fischerei tätig, während
des Sommers betreiben sie zusätzlich ihre
touristischen Unternehmen wie Hotels,
Restaurants, Cafés und Bars.
Η Νέα Επίδαυρος είναι
ένα ιστορικό γραφικό
χωριό, κτισμένο στις ακτές του
κόλπου της Επιδαύρου, ΒΑ
του Ναυπλίου, με πληθυσμό
περίπου 1300 κατοίκους.
Μέχρι το 1928 λεγόταν Πιάδα.
Οι κάτοικοι ασχολούνται
κυρίως με τη γεωργία, την
κτηνοτροφία και την αλιεία.
Κατά την καλοκαιρινή
περίοδο αξιοποιούν τις
τουριστικές επιχειρήσεις τους
όπως ξενοδοχεία, εστιατόρια
και μπαράκια.
New Epidaurus is a historical village
located northeast of Nafplio with
a population of about 1300 inhabit-
ants. This picturesque village is out-
spreaded on a rocky area on the coasts
of Epidaurus Bay, and at an altitude
of 100 meters on the slopes of the
limb. Until 1928 it was called Piada.
The residents are mainly farmers, cat-
tle-breeders and fishermen. During the
summer months, they are involved in
tourism like running hotels, restaurants
and bars.
