The enchanting city of Nafplio is one of the most picturesque seaside resorts in Greece. With its historical buildings, whitewashed houses, attractive sandy beaches and its marvelous view, Nafplio is an excellent touristic destination. The Venetian Castle of Palamidi, the city’s landmark, is built on top of a steep hill that overlooks the whole region. Bourtzi, a 15th century island fort, has served as a residence and a hotel in recent years.
