The Kazarma bridge: It dominates the area of Arkadiko. A monumental construction, typical of the Mycenaean era, it was built with large rough limestones, in the characteristic Mycenaean (cyclopean) way, with no binding material. This megalithic bridge stands on top of the remains of an ancient roadway, still visible and still used by the people of the area. We may also find a pro-Mycenaean citadel of cyclopean technique and the remains of a beehive tomb (tholos tomb) in the area.
In the region of Ligourio, we may see the remains of a Venetian castle and of fortifications, a clear indication of the region’s significance during the Venetian domination.
