Ermioni is a picturesque little town right next to the piney cape of Bisti, at the further end of the Argolic peninsula. It offers the ideal type of holidays, a combination of an island’s serenity and wild nightlife. The sea that surrounds it forms, on the north, the port and main commercial centre of the town, and, on the south, Mandrakia. The all-green edge of the peninsula at the outskirts of the town, the renowned Bisti (i.e. tail), is definitely worth a visit; besides its whitewashed mill, its great view, its crystal blue waters, it also has to present invaluable archaeological treasures, such as the old castle of the town and the remains of the temples of Athena and Poseidon.
