The 1950 where everything was simple and life had just begun for Greece,the life of the summer festivals of Epidavros has also started, with Rontiri in 1954 and the official opening by the National Paxinou and Minotis on 16/06/1955.
Tourism in the region was at a very early stage and infrastructure was minimal. During daily rehearsals, actors and the rest of the crew spent at the sea not being able to do rehearsals due to the heat, waiting for the cool nightfall. As mentioned, the closest seaside location to the theater was Epidaurus. One of their favorite spot was a quiet beach with shade from large trees, the mulberry trees. There was a small shack that belonged to Urania and Nikolas where they lived with 4 children, Takis, Iphigenia, John and Dimitra. During their swim, the actors were getting thursty and especially Minotis asked for some water or if there is anything they could quench their thirst or even eat, so they were hosted tothe familys table. Urania and Nicholas were poor, as most of the people that time, and could only provide water, which was what they gave to them
