It’s worth taking a walk over to the renowned Bisti (meaning tail), the all-green piney edge of the peninsula on the town fringes; with its marvelous all-white mill, its great view, its crystal blue waters and its invaluable archaeological treasures, it has much to offer. The old castle of the town is there, together with the remains of the temples of Athena and Poseidon. Bisti used to be girt by Cyclopean Walls, remains of which you may find on its southern side mostly, together with remains of “porphyra” workshops.
